27 worms for lot 116

27 worms for lot 116
The World Worm Charming Championships were, despite all my own preconceptions, great fun. We were shown to lot 116 and once the 'charming' got going, it felt as if a mini-earthquake was taking place. The entire ground beneath us was vibrating in a manner that we were quite unexpecting, and worms crept out at quite an alarming speed - almost as fast as they disappeared underground again.

But we didn't come last and we shall get better in years to come. If you want to join our team next year, just let either of us know.

We WILL become The Worm Charming Champions.

The bestest EVAH.

You call those earthworms??? Over here, we call them a different kind of worms -- the kind your doctor (or veterinarian, as appropriate) can prescribe medicine against.

No wonder your early birds look so scrawny.

Well, I do agree that some were small, but the heaviest weighed in at 12gr which isn't bad for a worm.

You mean to tell me you'd thought worms boring? *faint*

If I ever catch a British TV show laughing with Belgians and their strange hobbies again (such as pipe-smoking competitions or counting how many times a bird sings his song or a cow poo-ing on a field), I'll know where to find you!

I wish you blogged more often...do you never hear from your children anymore?

Cassie, I want to blog more often too, but redecorating my house is taking up an awful lot of time.....I'll try this week :-) I rarely hear from my children unless I call them, which is sad - but I know that Tatiana starts work for real tomorrow ;-)

A friend of mine went to a worm-charming thingy somewhere near Marple recently, and apparently nobody got any at all! Apart from one person got half a dead one.
