Oh Bloody Hell - Where did the Time Go?

It's been so long since I last posted that I almost forgot how to create a post. It wasn't until I realised that I had to sign in first that I managed to get anywhere and now it's all changed. Blogger has made everything look new and sparkly but to old people such as myself, this is really quite a nuisance. I'm sure that I'll cope.

In a manner.

So.

1. The Parental Unit came and went.
2. I've been volunteering madly at Oxfam which is quite good fun and obviously rules out the question of being employed. Still looking.
3. I've had a couple of interviews for jobs, including at a Catholic school. Ho hum.
4. Tatiana and her boyfriend visited.
5. Coralie and her boyfriend then visited.
6. Richard and I visited the Parental Unit. Mine, not his.
7. I took part in World Book Night.
8. Things happened - Olympic Torch went through Crewe! The Olympics happened. Things in the garden happened. Sales on eBay happened. My fractured wrist was a true happening.

If there is anything on that list that you want to read about in particular, do say. Otherwise another year may pass before I let you know of what's going on - if anything - and just to let you know that I am alive.

One thing that never happened: bloody summer.

Hello Zoe ! World Book Night ?
Also, did you not have a small summer two weeks ago ?

Did we, Viviane? Not in Crewe...I was away then. So you want to know about WBN (7) ? That was.....errrr.....interesting. The beer was better. OK, will do that unless you stop me ;-)

#1and#7 spark interest as do all visits but I can't help being nosey.
I'm sure you could make most subjects readable.

Where is Hermit? Is he adjusting to the Brit climate?

It's good to see you back

I'm wondering what things in the garden happened? Are you now up to your knees in the local newts? Was an ark built? Did you succumb and obtain your very own shed, with lace curtains, a fainting couch, and a collection of the finest bosom-heaving romance novels? Were massive quantities of cheap plonk consumed?

Bad luck with the wrist. I broke mine riding (well, falling off) a bike in June. I went through surgery (3 pins inserted), two bulky splints with metal rods, and a cast before all was said and done. The itching drove me insane (temps were well above 100F here in the American South) Now I'm cast-free, surgical pin-free, working on my physical therapy exercises to regain mobility (twisty action) in my wrist and hoping these d*mn scars heal soon.
Hope your fracture heals soon! Don't push yourself too much.
